Tao Tan is senior managing director at a private investment firm, with over 15 years of experience in finance, strategy, and business transformation. He was previously a partner at Perception Capital, an associate partner at McKinsey & Company, and has worked in venture capital and investment banking. He now serves as an independent director of Blue Gold Limited (Nasdaq: BGL) and as a senior advisor to multiple technology companies on space launches, small modular nuclear reactors, and financial technology.

Tan is a Millennium Fellow at the Atlantic Council, a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Economic Club of New York, and a trustee of the Museum of Chinese in America. He received both his BA and his MBA with honors from Columbia University, where he was an Erwin Wolfson Scholar and a Toigo Foundation Fellow. With other alumni and faculty, he cofounded the Stand Columbia Society.
